BOY ON FIRE (SEOUL FASHION WEEK AW18)

A few weeks ago I returned to Seoul for my annual Fashion Week trip.  As much as I love returning to one of my home countries I find myself not having much time to do anything else but attend fashion shows which is nothing to complain about at all.

Autumn-Winter wear is my favorite as I personally love to wear sweaters, jackets, and coats so attending Seoul's AW  Fashion Week was something I had been looking forward to for quite some time.

The best part of my job as a fashion consultant is when I get to grab pieces like this amazing BY.D'BY coat straight from the runway and shoot with them.  Attending about three shows each day I found myself running downstairs to the designer showroom and grabbing pieces from the designer's booth straight away(with their permission of course).

The great thing about investing my time and money in attending fashion weeks in places such as Seoul and Jakarta is that I feel am ahead of current trends in the west. As much as I love working with big-name Western brands I feel that emerging Asian designers offer something new and exciting. I don't buy or wear clothes because of to their name and how I think that will make people perceive me. I wear what I like based on qualiy and creativity and I think this is where designers from Asia really excel.

With Seoul Fashion Week becoming increasingly popular each season, i expect that by this time next year the designers you see on this site will be on the front pages fashion publications worldwide.
