UL:KIN is back with another amazing fall-winter collection. Showing in both New York Fashion Week and Seoul Fashion Week the brand enlisted Yeonjun from Big Hit Entertainment boy group Tomorrow X Together and members of popular girl group Brave Girls to model collection for each Fashion Week.

UlKIN’s new collection titled “slaughter” was inspired by the consequences of the human race’s reckless use of natural resources and serves as a metaphor for reckless “self-sacrifice”. The collection aims to show how what we eat, drink, and consume ends up harming us. Although we are eventually come face to face with these issues we still choose to sweep them under the rug as temporary measures rather than seeking solutions that change.

UL:KIN is one of the first Korean brands that began up-cycling before their peers and has become well known as Korea’s most popular sustainable brand.   Each season the brand hopes to spread messages on the importance of sustainability and sets an example for other brands on how to create art and fashion in a sustainable way.

This collection is no exception and Designer Lee Sangdong’s message is sound and clear. “For humans to take a step in the right direction, we, humans have to change. We have to reflect on what we are consuming and sacrificing. The change will only happen when we face the inconvenient truth”
